kriterijume tokom čitavog procesa proizvodnje organskog tekstila, od berbe sirovina do društveno i

Organskim pamukom naziva se pamuk proizveden od biljke koja nije genetski modifikovana,
a koja je uzgajana bez upotrebe hemikalija kao što su sintetičko đubrivo i pesticidi.
Osim što ovakva proizvodnja umanjuje štetni uticaj na okolinu, ona podstiče biološki ciklus.
Cena organskog pamuka iz godine u godinu opada što je dobra vest za razvoj i uvećanje
rasprostranjenosti ove industrije.
Preduslov za proizvodnju organskog pamuka jeste organska zemlja koja je prošla kroz
trogodišnje čišćenje od veštačkih supstanci.
Odevni predmeti u svom sastavu moraju imati 95% organskog pamuka kako bi bili prihvaćeni kao
proizvodi sa organiskim sastavom. Dozvoljeno je da 5% sastava bude od boje prirodnog porekla,
čipke, elastina i drugih materijala.
